While most of webmasters and webmistresses purchase a domain, or even more, by themselves or with a help of their parents, the story behind the establishment of Licious.ORG is quite different.
I was simply an ordinary, pennyless girl who dreams to have 'cool' webstuffs just like the others do. My first online appearance was sometime back in 2003, by submitting animanga wallpapers and fan arts I've created to deviantArt. Long before then, I've been wanting to have my own domain, more than just a mere existence. However, I didn't really think of make it real; I didn't even know why, I just didn't. I just keep on designing web layouts offline--meaning never published it on the web or showed it to anybody, even my parents.
And I never expected that my hobby of designing would become handy in reifying the dream. It was when my entry for Megori's layout contest came out as a winner of the first place (for Tetsunosuke.COM). There were 3 choices of prize, and I decided to choose a free domain and hosting. She then registered and hosted Licious.ORG for me on December 31st, 2006. Because I simply couldn't think of a better, fancier and more creative name. Yes.
With that being said, this domain has been running for 2 years and counting now! Despite being a bad webmiss I have been, I really didn't want to lose the domain, I wanted to transfer it to a local registrar but it was too late. That was when Devyn comes to the rescue; she renewed it for me for the 3rd year, making our story didn't come to an end :D! ♥
As of June this year, however, Licious.ORG has finally been transferred to a local registrar to make things easier for me; and it is now hosted under my own reseller account at d*painter.
